This controlled environment often results in diamonds with high clarity and fewer metallic inclusions. CVD diamonds are especially popular today because they offer consistency, excellent quality, and refined finishing.

When it comes to choosing between CVD and HPHT, the truth is that both are 100% real diamonds. They have the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as mined diamonds and score a 10 on the Mohs hardness scale. Even professional gemologists require advanced equipment to identify the growth method. For most buyers, the growth process does not significantly impact the diamond’s appearance in everyday wear. What truly matters is the 4Cs: cut, colour, clarity, and carat, along with proper certification and craftsmanship.

If you are looking for extremely high clarity and minimal inclusions, CVD diamonds are often preferred. If you are interested in certain fancy-colored diamonds, HPHT can sometimes be a suitable choice. However, the overall grading and certification of the stone should always be your primary focus rather than the technical growth method.
